Privacy notice for solitaire-free.uk
This page explains, in plain language, what information is involved when you use solitaire-free.uk. The short version: we do not ask you for any personal information. There are no accounts, sign-up forms, email lists, payments, comments or contact forms on this site. What the games remember about your play stays on your own device.
solitaire-free.uk is run by Forty Media, which is responsible for this site under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can contact us about privacy at info@solitaire-free.uk.
What we collect
We do not collect your name, email address or any other details directly. The only information that reaches a server when you visit is the technical information every website receives with each request: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the time. It is handled by the services that deliver the site, listed below, and is used to show you the page and to protect the site against abuse.
Our lawful basis
The small amount of technical data involved is processed because it is necessary to deliver and secure the website you asked to use (our legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). The cookie and browser storage described below are strictly necessary for the games to work as you expect, keeping your place and your win count, and they stay on your own device.
Cookies and storage on your device
The games save a few things in your browser so they work the way you expect. None of it is used for tracking or advertising.

You can delete all of these at any time in your browser's settings. The games will still work; they will just forget your saved game and win count. A cookie notice is shown when you first visit.
Services we rely on
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. It processes IP addresses to serve pages quickly and to block attacks.
- Microsoft Azure hosts our content service in the United States (West US 2 region). Pages ask it for their text, links and blog posts, so it receives your IP address and browser details with each request, as any web server does.
- Fonts: the site's typefaces are served from this site itself, so no font provider receives your IP address.
We do not sell information and we do not share it with anyone else.
Information processed overseas
Because these services operate internationally, technical information about your visit may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States.
How long information is kept
We do not keep a database of visitors. Technical logs held by our hosting providers are kept only as long as those providers need them to run and secure their services. Items stored in your browser last as shown in the table above.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Because we do not ask for your details we will usually hold nothing that identifies you, but you are welcome to ask. Email info@solitaire-free.uk and we will reply as soon as we can.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a privacy matter, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this page
No analytics or advertising services are active on this site. If we add one, we will update this page before it is switched on.
